Preparation, design, manufacturing — how a Motographe part comes about
01. Preparation
The workshop first made its name building complete motorcycles, published by the international specialist press. That is where we learned what breaks, what comes apart badly, and what a rider changes first.
The catalogue takes over today: the same reflexes, applied to parts you fit yourself. Specialist workshops and builders use them on their own machines.
02. Design
Drawing is done at the workshop, in computer-aided design. Every part has to work, and it has to hold up to the eye once fitted — both together, with neither serving as an excuse for the other.
The drawing stays at the service of use: a part goes on, comes off, and can be replaced.
03. Manufacturing
Machining, moulding or sheet metal work, according to what the geometry calls for, then surface treatment — anodising, bead blasting, polishing.
The material and the process can be read on the part itself. That is the only argument we make, and you can check it by picking one up.
